We need more than inspiration.  And we need more than good ideas. Many of us just need the courage to do what God has put in our hearts to do.  But courage can’t be reckless or thoughtless.  So I’ve developed this site in order to provide practical, proven, and powerful encouragement that will help you leverage your life for the glory of God.

I am a follower of Jesus, husband, father, pastor, leader, and learner. And I enjoy writing in the areas of faith, leadership, and relationship. So most weeks I will post three brief, biblical, and relevant articles designed with you in mind.

In addition to the blog posts on this site, you will also find a few videos of recent messages as well as information about conferences where I teach on any one of the three topics mentioned earlier.

I’m a Tennessee boy with a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas and a Doctor of Ministry from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, Cordova, Tennessee.

As you can see, God has blessed me with a beautiful wife and we have three incredible kids, and we live in beautiful East Tennessee.
